SAYWHEN
SAYWHEN is the project of Cincinnati-based producer/songwriter Christian Blake, who combines alternative rock and emo-pop with a versatile vocal range to convey angsty nostalgia and catharsis. The early 2022 release of ‘stupid’ saw SAYWHEN transition from behind-the-scenes producer and songwriter to a full-fledged artist, quickly growing a crazed, dedicated fanbase. His first show at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY opening for ENMY saw him bring 70+ fans of his own, some of which flew in to see him perform. SAYWHEN has had several videos go viral on TikTok as well, including open verse challenges with Atlus and Sadie Jean that garnered 213k and 165k views respectively.
Blake was born into a musical family in Minneapolis where he had the opportunity to play any instrument he could get his hands on. With his deep passion and love for playing, Blake started touring with bands such as Spoken and Tooth & Nail’s XXI. Playing over 1k shows as a drummer and many more as a tech, sound engineer, and stagehand, he has been on the road non-stop. Utilizing the go-getter mentality he learned while on tour through the years, Blake is spending 2022 playing shows in and around the Midwest while releasing two new tracks ‘obsessed’ and ‘SUGARBABY.’

Relent
Relent was formed in early 2016, hailing from San Antonio, Texas. Relent is a hard rock/nu metal band with elements of rap and hip-hop laced into the mix. They hit the scene with their first single “Rise” which quickly became a fan favorite. With a unique in-your-face style that is often compared to musical giants such as P.O.D, Sevendust, Linkin Park, and Breaking Benjamin, some would find it hard to believe that they’re new on the scene.
In 2019, Relent released their first full-length album, Heart Attack. This release was followed soon after by the signing of the band at Rockfest Records (Capitol Distribution) in early 2020. Rockfest Records is home to talented and upcoming hard rock bands, making a fitting home for Relent.
Their 2021 album “Heavy” is a force to be reckoned with. The album tackles important, real-life issues like loss, mental health, and hypocrisy with raw emotion and vulnerability. The band doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable topics, instead tackling them head-on with the power of their music. Their unique blend of hard rock and nu metal creates a sound that carries the emotional weight of the lyrics and drives the message home. As a whole, “Heavy” is a gripping listen that manages to push boundaries and leave an impact.
As of their recent release of “Heavy”, they have been predicted to be one of the biggest rock bands to come out of the hard rock scene since the early days of P.O.D. Relent is not just a band but a movement with a passion that can only be explained through the intensity of their live performances.
